Quick quiff’s for Grease movie night
It will probably come as little surprise to you, that the 1978 movie classic GREASE is one of my all time favourites. It’s the candy colours, the fifties style and definitely Danny’s teddy boy greasy quiff that gets me going. So when the recently refurbished historic 1912 Curzon cinema in Clevedon, asked if I’d be available in February to style up the audience for their Grease night - I jumped at the chance.
The secret to a good quiff is a bit of good old fashioned backcomb and plenty, and I mean plenty of hair product! My go to hairspray of choice is Schwarzkopf Strong Hold got2b Glued Blasting Freeze Spray. This incredible product in its unmistakable bright yellow and black spray can, literally holds hair ( even the most stubborn) for 72 hours. If you have poker straight stubborn hair that just won’t yield to styling, you might find a bit of heat helps to coax the hair into the direction you want. Wether you have a curling wand, hair straighteners, hot rollers or tongs, you’ll want to take sections of hair and roll them in the direction you want your quiff/ roll. Allow the hair to cool before teasing the roots and then blast away and if needed pin to hold with Kirby grips.
If your heading along to the movie night this Friday 24th February, you can catch me in action speed styling from 6pm in the foyer at Curzon Cinema, complimentary quiff’s and high ponies ‘first come first styled’.
